Angels of Empty Bottles

Every few hundred years, an angel must undergo a trial. The trial serves to ensure that the angel still holds enough love and understanding for humanity, thus being able to fulfill the duties of an angel.

It was time for her first trial. The Almighty granted her a heart made of hollow glass. "Fill this bottle with beautiful things from the mortal world!" He said. The young angel nodded. A simple task. The heart-shaped vessel was no bigger than her two cupped hands. And in her memories of the mortal realm, there were countless beautiful creations. She descended to the earth, folding her beautiful wings, beginning a human life from the form of a child.
